FERN KATZ

Fern Katz is a freelance contemporary dancer and co-founder of VEERdance Company. She has had the pleasure of dancing under the direction of Terre Vandale,  Compañia Sharon Fridman, physical theater company Opera Nouveau, and Rebecca Pappas to name a few. She has performed everywhere from Lincoln Center, to Jacob's Pillow, to outdoor sculpture parks. With a B.A. in Dance and Birth Studies from Goddard College and a professional certification in contemporary dance from Gibney Dance Center and intensive training with VIM/VIGOR, Fern has had the chance to study with masters in the contemporary field.
In addition to working with VEERdance, Fern serves as rehearsal director and manager for ORO Dance in NYC.
When not making dances, Fern can be found teaching Pilates, working as a birth and postpartum doula, and playing outdoors. She continues to create and take part in dance projects in Western MA and NYC.

TAYLOR KING

Taylor King is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Master of Fine Arts in Choreography and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from East Carolina University. She was born and raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where she began studying ballet at the age of 2. She continued to pursue her passion for dance by studying other styles like rhythmic tap, graham technique, contemporary, jazz & hip-hop. Taylor performed for the Chapel Hill Dance Theater for 7 years and later joined Orchesis Dance Theater 
for 3 years. At the age of 13 she began teaching. At East Carolina University, she worked with artists such as Mark Haim, Joe-Joe Grooves & Galina Panova. After graduation, she continued to explore her love for teaching and choreography which took her to UNCG. She served as teaching assistant and instructor of record at UNCG for 3 years while working with Janet Lilly, Jill Green, Mila Parrish, Larry Lavender and many local artists. Taylor is currently on the dance faculty at Northfield Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts and is the director of the NMH Junior Dance Company.

VERITY NICHOLS

Verity Nichols is a dance maker, performer, and educator with a BA in Choreography and Performing Arts from Keene State College. In addition to co-founding VEERdance Company, Verity formerly danced as a company member of Quantum Dance Collective and Saving Grace Dance Ensemble. She has danced in the works of Angie Muzzy, Steve Rooks, William Seigh, Lori Clark, and many more. She has had her work produced by Keene State College, Quantum Dance Collective, Greenfield Community College and Eggtooth Productions. Verity has performed throughout New England including at Full Motion Dance Theater at Alvin Ailey  Dance Studios and Bill Evans Somatic Dance Conference at Hobart and William Smith College.
Verity would like to thank influential teachers/mentors in her development as a dancer, teacher and choreographer including Ann Sorvino, Meg Van Dyke, William Seigh, Candace Salyers and Ingrid Schatz. 
In addition to teaching dance and yoga at The Dance Studio of Orange, Verity is passionate about the intersection of mental health, human nature/impulse, and arts education.
